Heading to the Palouse

Getting ready to head out to the Palouse again for another workshop.  This image was made last year.  A local farmer was kind enough to show us the workings of the business.  At least the workings of the area where they bring the grain during the harvest.  It was fascinating.

For the processing, I used two images to create this one.  I knew there was no way one exposure would work, so I exposed for the interior on one and the outside for the other.  I then blended the two using a layer mask in Photoshop.

The Huntington Camera Club will be well represented by my friends – Steve, Bob, Rafi, Estelle, and Lorraine. I am sure they will have fun and bring back beautiful images. But will they share their dinner with you?

Check out my new blog (you and Dan created a HUGE fan of iPhone photography by getting me started on it last fall; link is in the Website field associated with this comment)… Thanks for hitting me up via FB Networked Blogs to find this… I was expecting a change but have been traveling so much I hadn’t been checking in on your old location… this conversion (forced by Apple dumping their mobile me stuff) is wonderful and I looked at EVERY blog post here… I’m hoping to get to the Palouse eventually (either with you or with Teri Lou) but it wasn’t in the cards for this year. REALLY looking forward to Ireland! :-)
