Back from Escalante/Grand Staircase Tour

I’m back from a wonderful trip to Utah with yet another great group of folks.  Unfortunately we had some of the wildfire smoke drifting our way creating some haze on the grand landscape scenes. That did not stop us from finding many great detail shots in the gorgeous canyons where the light reflects off of the opposite wall.  Today’s image was taken on the first morning of the tour at sunset.  Again the haze was smoky, but in this case it allowed for a nice receding ridge shot.  Got to make lemonade out of lemons sometimes!

Thanks to all who came along with us.  We appreciate your choosing us!

The Great Smoky Mountains tour is next at the end of October.

Oh and don’t forget the Nik Webinar on Friday.

That area is some of the most exciting to be found anywhere. Hope the trip was wildly successful

Welcome home JB! Awesome, classic and smokylicious! Nothing wrong with making lemonade, taking advantage of a unique moment that does not always occur and being a MacGyver Photographer! We cannot always have perfect moments that we preconceive and visualize (possibly from previous trips, memory or viewing previous images from prior moments – which are in the past and never to be repeated). But, when we are there, we realize that the moment before you “IS” your moment to react, respond and your present (the gift before you).

“Everyday is a gift… that is why they call it the present!”
