Church in Vik

Twice we stopped in Vik for lunch and to take a look at the oft photographed sea stacks.  Unfortunately, we didn’t get a great shot at the sea stacks but the church up on the hill proved to be a popular stop.  Here is my take on the ubiquitous white church with red roof found all over Iceland.  This time the setting was just perfect.  I like this one where the light is on the church and the land on the bottom ridge but not behind it.  Makes it feel a bit three dimensional.

Like how the lines flow behind the church and how simple the scene is. The colors are wonderful too.
