Spring

A little detour from my New Zealand images. When I arrived home, I was anxious to photograph the tulips at Longwood Gardens.  I picked a day that looked like it would be overcast, however, it ended up being pretty sunny. I should have gone the next day! None the less, I ended up with three images that I like. All images were processed with a blended layer of Alien Skin Snap Art.

Dreaming of Spring

With the threat of another snow storm in the air, I decided to immerse myself in some images from Longwood Gardens taken a few years ago.  I can’t wait to spend a day there next month when the tulips are placed along the fabulous garden walk.  Its been a tough winter here in the northeast. We are ready for some warm weather!

For the bottom picture, I used Alien Skin Snap Art to give it the painterly feel.  Snap Art ROCKS!

A Barn on the Hill

We found this wonderful scene in the Palouse last year.  While not a great spot for a group, it was one that I wanted to get back to with a different sky.  On this day the wind was howling but we found a large patch of what I believe is Dames Rocket.  Seemed like a perfect time to stop!  I struggled with the position of the old leaning barn as it crept very close to the middle of the frame.  There wasn’t much I could do and still keep other elements in a logical position.  Ultimately I’m okay with it for a number of reasons, however, I’m curious to hear your thoughts.
