Steptoe Butte is one of the iconic locations in the Palouse. On this night, we had a beautiful cloud in the east creating what I like to call a soft pastel backside sunset. It was cold up there but magical at this moment.

Very nice. Thought Steptoe was closed. Good to see it’s not.
One could certainly get lost in the beauty of such a scene… maybe next year I’ll go there too… overbooked myself with travel this year! Absolutely gorgeous!
Now that I’m home, I looked at the original image posted and it was very dark. One of the problems in posting from the notebook computer on the road. I’ve updated the image and reposted.
