The best color I’ve seen in the Pocono area EVER!
by JB | Oct 19, 2012 | Color, Fall Color |
I finished with the Road Scholar group and then headed back down to the backside of Hidden Lake. I found some new spots that offered great angles on the wall of color. This year the color is INSANE! I’ve never seen it this good at Hidden Lake, ever. As I was shooting in the soft overcast light, all of a sudden a break in the sky produced about 15 minutes of soft gold light before the sun set over the far ridge. It was an amazing display to say the least. Most times I prefer foliage in soft overcast light or just after a rain for the saturated color. This display was a rare treat where the sun was so soft and gold my jaw was on the ground.

Road Scholar, that once known as Elderhostel?
Yes the old Elder Hostel.
Breathtaking! The colors in north Connecticut and NH are also beautiful. I found Massachusetts not so vibrant. This was over Columbus Day weekend. Nice shot John 🙂
