If you get up early enough, you can beat the crowds that quickly fill the streets of Havana. What I loved about this scene, was the yellow wall behind the red car. As promised in my last blog post, I’ve created a video (click the link below) that explains how I created the look for this image using Nik Color Efex Pro 4.0. Lots more Cuba images to come over the next couple of weeks.
To watch the video (in HD no less!) click on this link which will take you to the YouTube link.

Oh! So that’s what it looks like in the morning!
Morning isn’t in your vocabulary E.
Great video John. Love the shot!
Great image and wonderful tutorial. I am such a fan of Nik and I like how you take the viewer through the process so easily.
Glad you enjoyed it Carlton.
great scene…thanks for the tutorial…
Beautiful. Really like the verticals and diagonal lines and subject.
Wonderful image and a great tutorial video. I must take another look at the Monday Morning Filter. I have always passed it over as the effects seem much too extreme for my liking.
May I suggest that you brighten the lights on the car? Even though they are not turned on I have found this trick helps bring any vehicle to life. This is a subtle change – maybe 1/3 to 1/2 a stop only.
A great suggestion Mark. Thanks
You have to be up pretty early in Havana to be out before anyone else JB — even when we were out before dawn the streets were busy — when was this???
On our last day… about 8 actually…
