I remember thinking how ugly power poles were in a pristine landscape. Then I realized they are part of the landscape and can add interest to the scene or in this case lead the eye into and through the frame. Once again, for me the clouds and cloud shadows are what makes this work. The tractor lines are a nice bonus as well.

Smart to leave the poles in. It really adds a lot to the image.
I obviously agree!
Great point, John, and your beautiful landscape illustrates your observation very well. As for that dreamy sky…….I could look at that all day long ! Slainte !
Thanks Bruce.
I like the feeling of motion and the interesting “flow” of the image. Nice colors…and your usual spectacular sky!
Thanks Steve.
JB, “The Could Whisperer!” Man oh man, amazing cloud displays seem to appear and follow you wherever you go!
Amazing image and perspective! Intense light, gorgeous rolling hills, endless sky and marching clouds. As for the power poles, they add a harmonious connection to the landscape and deliver you into the image as the tractor tracks do. What would The Palouse be without mans intervention? Would there be the perfectly manicured rolling contrasting hills? Awesome post JB!
Thank you Stephan. 🙂
