The Icelandic Horse

No trip to Iceland would be complete without the ubiquitous and beautiful Icelandic horse. The lead blog image was taken in a howling wind that was hard to stand up in!   I just love the light we had at this moment, giving me a shaded background so the sunlit horses could stand out in the foreground.  And of course the magnificent landscape and stormy sky didn’t hurt either!   Below you’ll find another image from this stop.  Both images shot with the Fuji X-E1.

That first photo is just beautiful, John! The mood and scene is perfectly Icelandic.

Thanks Sarah. I felt the same way. And the conditions to shoot it in were too… WINDY!

John, you paint your photos like portraits with paintbrushes. Brings out so much emotion.
